Diet and meds.: Eat very low fat diet. Triglycerides directly reflect fatty content of the diet and vary from day to day. Trig in 200's is really a minor elevation and focus should remain on controlling ldl. If LDL is high a statin medication would be a good choice. If fasting trig is 1000+ range then lowering trig becomes the focus - Atorvastatin and Rosuvastatin may both be useful.

High triglycerides: A diet which limits saturated fats and simple carbohydrates can help. Exercising regularly can help as well. Omega 3 fatty acids found in fish can help.
