Abnormal: High blood pressure that develops after age 25 is considered essential hypertension ( which means expected to be in some patients to be an age related phenomenon depending on other risk factors). High blood pressure before age 25 is abnormal and needs a full work up by your primary care to rule out any endocrinology issues.
