About 60% survival: Nasopharynx Ca probably caused by the EBV virus arises in the posterior throat area just behind the nose. When localized it is easily treated by radiation therapy. When it spreads to the cervical nodes chemo such as the platinums are added. Here survival dropos to the 40% level. With newer drugs the survival however is improving.
