Does prozac (fluoxetine) give you energy?

It might: Prozac (fluoxetine) is an antidepressant which may have some stimulating properties in many individuals. This effect might be felt almost immediately. In addition, if it has been prescribed to treat depression, and if one of your symptoms has been decreased energy, then energy should improve as the depression begins to improve, over the coming weeks.

If triggering a hypomanic or manic episode, the Prozac may appear to "give energy" also.
