A start.: You are describing symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (aka acid reflux or gerd). Stomach acid flows back to the esophagus, causing burning and spasm felt as varying degrees of chest pain. A sour taste in the mouth or breath reminiscent of vomitus in the morning is not uncommon. Try sleeping at an incline, using gravity to keep the acid where it belongs and/or meds like prilosec.
