Will a pudenal nerve block affect my epilepsy in any way?

No, will be fine: A pudendal nerve block uses local anesthesia such as Lidocaine or marcaine. Be sure to tell your doctor about any medications you take for your epilepsy. But there is no contraindication to having any kind of nerve block. If you are told not to have anything to eat or drink before surgery, you should still take your epilepsy meds with a sip of water, to make sure your epilepsy stays controlled.

No: It is possible to have a seizure from the local anesthetic used for a nerve block. This is a rare complication. Based on a study performed at the mayo clinic in 2009, there is probably no significant increase in seizures in epileptic patients that have nerve blocks. Important - don't stop your seizure medication unless advised by your physicians.
