New?: Needs evaluation, it may be from retinal changes but sounds as if maybe a cataract is also a possibility. See your ophthalmologist.

See eye doctor: You need to see your eye doctor for a dilated exam. You could have a new tear or retinal detachment or scar tissue pulling on the retina and needs to be looked at sooner than later.
