Yes local anesthsia: It is never a good idea to leave in a broken possibly infected tooth. But. There is a concern when doing treatment during pregnancy. You need to see a dentist or oral surgeon who will consult w/ your ob/gyn about the proper timing for the extraction and what medications you can take such as antibiotics and pain meds. The best time is usually the second trimester but it may not be prudent to wait.
