Stuffy, clogged ears: It is not uncommon for ears to feel stuffy and clogged when allergies flare up, when you experience a change in altitude or during the course of a cold. Sometimes this can happen as an ear infection evolves. This is from dysfunction of the eustachian tube. Treatment does not always lead to immediate resolution, and can include antihistamines, nasal antinflammatories, and oral steroids.
