Cold virus: The cold virus can cause these symptoms. I would take some ibuprofen and sudafed (as long as you don't have high blood pressure) for 1-2 days. If the clogged, ringing sensation continues despite that, then see your doctor or urgent care. If you develop a fever over 101 then you may want to be seen sooner.
