Maybe: Braxton hicks is the "ripening " of the birth canal. If this is your first baby call the nurses who will look after you in labour and ask for their opinion... You may be in early labour, especially if the "tightening feeling" happens regularly on the clock timer...No need to feel silly asking the people who will see you for your labour and delivery. Better be safe.
