A member asked:

What is a normal temp? mine is usually 98.1-98.3, what would be considered a fever since my temp runs lower?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Normal body temperature varies depending on many factors, including age, sex, time of day, ambient temperature, activity level, and others. A raised temperature does not always indicate a fever. A common definition of fever is a core temperature (usually measured rectally) of 99.5-100.9 deg f. "normal" would be 97.7-99.5 deg f.
