Avoid if you can: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is an amphetamine used for add/adhd and narcolepsy. It does have the tendency to raise blood pressure so if you must take it make sure the dentist doing the root canal checks your blood pressure prior to starting to make sure it is not too high and if you end up taking it and doing the root canal make sure you stay relaxed and avoid any anxiety or situations that raise your blood pressure.
