Yes: Bipolar is a mood disorder and schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder. Schizoaffective disorder is used to describe the condition involving abnormal mood (as can be seen in bipolar disorder) and perceptual disturbances. That diagnosis requires psychosis to be present for a two week period without any mood disorder symptoms (this state cannot be due to medications or other substances).
