Many possibilities..: You may have a pinched nerve due to a variety of possible reasons. See your primary care physician who may order some x-rays and possibly an mri. You may need a referral to an orthopedist or neurologist.

Sciatica: It sounds like "sciatica"; involvement of the large nerve coming out of the back which eventually gets smaller and smaller, finally terminating in the foot. You can either see an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine, or a chiropractor. Regards, Dr. Latva
