Try: Non steroidal anti inflammatory meds (if you can tolerate them) ie. Aspirin, aleve, (naproxen) advil. Sometimes oil of clove placed on a deeply decayed tooth can offer some relief. Occasionally, ice pack, not directly on skin (place cloth between skin&ice pack to avoid frostbite) can help. Be aware, when the toothache is severe, nothing short of root canal treatment or tooth extraction will help. See dds.

Unfortunately: There is not too much other than a shot or two of whiskey.. (just kidding). Get to a dentist asap... If the infection gets bad enough it could be life threatening...

OTC pain meds: For the pain over the counter tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. If the tooth is infected, there is little that can be done without proper care or antibiotics. Perhaps try to see if your dentist can call in a prescription for you until you can see him.
