Seems excessive.: Do you get up in the middle of the night every hour to urinate? Keep a logbook of your urination with amounts if possible. Take it to your doc who can look this over and provide referral to uro if necessary.

Overactive bladder: With no pain and long duration, oab is a possibility. Look for triggers: avoid chocolate, tobacco, caffeine, alcohol, peppermind, spicy foods, and splenda. Limit fluid intake at night to help sleep. If these measures don't help, then ask your family doctor about Detrol la or vesicare (solifenacin) as a way to cut down on bladder spasms that cause these frequent bathroom visits.
