Im taking valtrex (valacyclovir) on a daily basis, plus super lysine 1500mg, and vitamins c and zinc. yet i continue to have outbreaks that lasts for a week or two. i watch what i eat, stop smoking! please help me!

HSV 2: Make sure the dose of Valtrex (valacyclovir) is about 500-1, 000mg daily. Have your doctor do blood tests to check you immune status. Stress, anxiety can affect your immune system. Consider psychotherapy as an option.
