Croup: Sounds like you have croup. Hot liquids will south you. Usually croup is of viral etiology and does not require much management. A short course of steroids helps relieve the symptoms. It lasts only 7-10 days. Whereas if it lasts longer than that, then it means, secondary bacterial super infection. You will need antibiotics in that circumstance.
