Depends on symptoms: Cardiac echography may sometimes be technically difficult to perform. The determination of the left ventricle ejection fraction ( i.e. The relative amount of blood pumped out of the left ventricle at each cardiac beat, with a normal value of more than 50%) is more precisely determined by radionuclide ventriculography (muga scan). It may be normal even if the echo is borderline.
