History: Without knowing your history (and your family's), it is hard to say. If you do not have a reason for any heart disease, then it is unlikely, and it is just a test for reassurance.

No worry but check: Depends on your symptom - any sob, chest pain, leg edema etc. , exact value of lvef, cholesterol level. Are you seeing a cardiologist or internist?

Depends on symptoms: Cardiac echography may sometimes be technically difficult to perform. The determination of the left ventricle ejection fraction ( i.e. The relative amount of blood pumped out of the left ventricle at each cardiac beat, with a normal value of more than 50%) is more precisely determined by radionuclide ventriculography (muga scan). It may be normal even if the echo is borderline.
