Dip sticks: These home testing devices detect either wbcs, nitrites or both. Nitrites are not generally a very accurate test, but the presence of white blood cells suggests an inflammatory process in progress, probably infection. Call and ask for an earlier appointment or go to an urgent care facility. If you have symptomatic UTI you should be treated.
