Maybe not: If you want to use pseudoephedrine, you should check your BP while taking it--it does not raise everyone's BP uniformly. Also, they recommended 1/2 dose, which may have your HTN in mind. If opt for alternative, can try afrin nasal spray to see if can open up & allow drainage, but must stop using by 5 days.

You are right: Sudafed can worsen high blood pressure. Consider Benadryl (diphenhydramine) instead.
