Yes but only if . . : Yes, it's ok to get pregnant w/thyroid disease but it's always best to get your thyroid condition (and remainder of your health) optimized prior to getting pregnant. This is where your family doc can provide you w/preconception counseling, especially for advanced maternal age. Family doc can also help manage thyroid disease in conjunction w/endocrinologist & obstetrician.
