You could: Plenty of hyperthyroid patients get pregnant. If you are trying to get pregnant make sure the antithyroid medication is ptu (propylthiouracil) - not Methimazole (tapazole) - talk to your endocrinologist.

Yes, it can.: Thyroid disease impacts fertility. Both elevated and low levels of thyroid hormone can have an impact. For this reason, you should continue your medication. (ptu (propylthiouracil) is better than mtx in pregnancy.) be sure to discuss these concerns with your physician.
