Foreign body possibl: It is possible that you might have a foreign body stuck in your upper airway or esophagus. See your doctor. He may want to order x-rays to see if any thing is stuck.

Possibly reflux: If these symptoms of been going on for a month it does not sound like an emergency. Very often in the case of atypical reflux stomach juice can come up into your throat causing a muscle to become overactive leading to the sensation that you are having trouble swallowing. It can also cause your soft palate to feel strange. Stop eating and drinking all acids. Do not eat or drink before bed and make an appointment with an ENT doctor.
