Bleeding gums: In addition to taking vit c, see your hygienist every 6 month for cleaning. Gingivitis and periodontitis are other common cause of bleeding gum!

Bleeding gums: Although its true that a deficiency of vitamin c can cause bleeding gums, it may not be the sole reason you are having these symptoms. You need to see a dentist to evaluate your overall health and condition of your gums and teeth to rule out other causes of your problem. In the meantime, make sure you are brushing and flossing properly (see image). Brush after every meal and floss every night.

You need Vitamin C: Bleeding gums can be caused by usually one of several things. High plaque /tarter levels, uncontrolled systemic disease, allergic reaction, change in hormone levels or low vit. C. Vit c is a water soluble vitamin that absorbes quickly. It is importand for proper healing and strengthening the bodies tissues. Eat more fruits and vegatables. Women need at least 75 mg per day and men 90mg per day.
