Are there other tests to detect throat, and lung , infection other then x.ray and esr, ?i get regular sore throats and allergy test was also negative

Yws: Certainly cultures can be helpful. Also, you may need an immunologic work-up to determine whether you can make good quantity and quality anti-bodies. You may also have non-allergic rhinitis and though allergy shots won't help, the right combination of medication may make a big difference. See an allergist to be thoroughly evaluated.

Complicated: Sore throats should not necessitate a chest x-ray (which should show abnormalities if you have lung infection, generally). Persistent sore throat can have a wide variety of causes and you should be examined by a doctor and the number of tests relatively limited.
