Too vague: The two things you describe may or may not be related. Would focus on what is bothering you now and go and see a doctor if it does not clear up. Diseases related to bites of insects, ticks, mites, etc. Are very numerous and can present in many differing ways. Go and get seen asap.

Gluteal Rash: A gluteal rash like you describe can be due to a myriad of causes. Some infectious diseases, such as lyme disease, can present that way, and leave you with joint pains later. If the condition does not improve, i would consult your doctor and be sure to describe any possible exposures. Did you travel recently? We're you hunting or camping in the woods?
