Normal: All babys hiccup, sneeze and become cross-eyed. Sneezing is the only way that babys can clear out their airways (since they breathe almost exclusively through their noses) , and it quite common for them to sneeze multiple times in a row.

Air pollution: A newborn will react with cough and sneezing when any irritant triggers the response. This is commonly things as simple as a woman's perfume, fragrances from a plug in or freshly laundered linen, smoke, dust, etc.If you can smell it it can make baby sneeze.Regular rinsing of the nose with saline will help.Avoiding all the air pollutants can help a lot.
