A few things: Anesthetic agents at first complicate urinating by effect on muscles involved. Pain meds can cause/contribute to it. Local irritation/inflammation can contribute. The pain post-procedure can keep you from wanting to push to go. Residual irritation from Foley (if out) can. Positioning (esp if in bed/on sofa a lot) doesn't help. So many things play into it, and all (should) resolve over a few days.
