The treatment may require several epidural injections and partial pain resolution is not uncommon. No: In general epidural steroid injections are given in multiples of three. They maybe spaced out from anywhere over a month or two months. If the first one only gives partial relief or no relief a second one will be attempted. If no relief is found then that is it. If a little more relief is obtained one more will be attempted. Either way the pain relief may take a few days to a week to show.
