Ask your doctor: If your doctor has prescribed valium for this problem, there should be instructions on the bottle's label that answer your question. If not clear about what your doctor prescribed, you can also contact him/her and ask. It's unusual to have "severe" mood swings from a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack alone, unless you may also have some mood instability which needs its own treatment. Please talk w/your own doc.
