Medrol (methylprednisolone) vs nsaid: Motrin is a more potent gastric irritant. Medrol (methylprednisolone) can irritate, too, but much less so. Take medrol (methylprednisolone) with food and liquid.

Abdominal distress: with NSAIDs. Most likely steroids will cause similar effects aggravating pre-existing gastric ulcers or dyspesia or GERD. The use of H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitors may decrease risk
