Mycobacterium: Bacille calmette guerin or bcg, is a mycobacterium similar to the one that causes tuberculosis in humans, it is weakened and used for various purposes. From your question, it seems that we are talking about bladder cancer treatment. Instilling the BCG in the bladder provokes a reaction in the lining of the bladder, that reaction incidentally destroys cancer cells.
