Homeopathic therapy: While there is no cure for the common cold, many things you can do can reduce it's severity. Drinking plenty of fluids, steam inhalation & gentle gargling can make your throat feel better. There is some evidence for supplemental zinc therapy, and many believe that vitamin c can help as well, but high doses pass right through your body, so 500mg 4x/day should be sufficient, as well as 220mg zinc.

Pelargonium sidoides: The herb pelargonium sidoides, the root of a geranium native to south africa, is the best-proven treatment for colds, sinus infections & sinusitis. It's the first thing i (& my family) take when getting sick & has helped hundreds of my patients. It is widely available in a product called umcka, sold at health food stores & many pharmacies.
