Specializes in Psychiatry

Usually can: Psychotropic medications can be prescribed by physicians other than psychiatrists. As long as the physician has the clinical expertise it should not be a problem. Sometimes obstetricians take over managment of psychiatric medications during pregnancy - and in other cases they treat the patient in concert with the psychiatrist.

Probably: In most states an ob/gyn is licensed to deal with mental health issues. It is common for ob/gyns to help their patients with these issues.
