Medical evaluation: While calf pain is commonly caused by muscular strain and muscle damage, it can also be cause by congestion of the veins from a blood clot within the vein. This can be a dangerous or life threatening condition. Please see a doctor as soon as possible to make sure it isn't a deep venous thrombosis.
