Are doctors allowed to give anesthesia during chemotheraphy?

Depends: Is there something about your chemotherapy that is painful or are you having severe anxiety? If so talk this over with your oncologist. They should be able to help you with his. A light sedative may be all you need.

Yes, but tell them: In most cases, anesthesia can safely be given during a course of chemotherapy, but it is important to know the exact drugs, doses, and timing to adjust for possible interactions.

Yes, but....: Anesthesia is given when a patient, usually a child, has intrathecal chemotherapy given. It is not needed or indicated for chemotherapy that is given via a vein.
