What is an estimated cost or range for a biopsy on a lymph node in my throat? i have insurance. i tried calling the surgeon but they were unhelpful .

Too many variabies: That is a very difficult question to answer as there are two significantly different types of biopsies, each of which has a potential range of costs. Then the material obtained by the biopsy will need to be analyzed, the reason for the biopsy, and the type of analysis (for infection, tumor, etc.) adds additional costs. The biopsy and the analysis are usually provided by two different physicians.

I had surgery in 2018 to originally remove a lymphnode. Turns out it was a badly infected salivary gland. No biopsy necessary according to surgeon. That lymph node has stayed enlarged since. Its soft and moveable. What should I do about the node?
During open biopsy my surgeon couldnt get the big 3.5cm lymph node so he took a 1cm node nearby it.IF there was cancer in the big one would it show in the small one he took? He says this still rules it out given its near the big one.. is this true?
