Pain is always: A concern as it indicates something is wrong. One week for an incident you describe is not out of the normal range but i would keep a close eye on it and if pain persists i would seek medical attention. I would advise warm compresses to the area and an anti inflammatory by mouth if not contraindicated.

Probably not: So called pressure points are areas where arteries or nerves are rather superficial. These structures are very sensitive and thus hurt when pressed on. This why they are useful. Persistent pain and/or bruising is common and should go away in one to two weeks.
