Absolutely : A pimple is a localized infection in the skin usually caused by propionobacterium acnes. Lymph nodes react to infection by creating antibodies to fight infection. In the process, the lymph node enlarges. Thus, the swelling in front of your ear can easily be related to that large pimple. However, if the swelling persists or worsens, you should see your doctor for evaluation and possible treatment.

Sure: If you have some type of infection on your head, the lymph nodes start to work overtime trying to relieve the extra effusion hat comes with inflammation of the skin. The lymph node will then swell. It will resolve when the infection is gone. If it continues to swell or starts to become painful however, you should see a physician.
