Wellbutrin (bupropion): For first episode of depression, usually 6 months to a year. If recurrent, it takes longer.

Depression treatmen: I usually treat for 12 months after there has been a full therapeutic response to the medication. Some psychiatrists may treat for a shorter period. Treatment may be indefinite.
