Pain: Melanoma doesn't cause pain unless there is metastasis. You should see a dermatologist.

Melanoma and pain: Is unknown to me until it has metastasized. Your age makes you a very unlikely candidate to have melanoma, though it is not unheard of.

Unsure: Pain is not a usual symptom of melanoma. But it is best to see your doc to find the source.
