Dyspepsia : A burning in the stomach - dyspepsia - can be a result of irritation of the stomach lining from foods, Aspirin or other nsaids, a viral gastroenteritis, stomach ulcers, or a bacterial infection known as h pylori. Short term use of otc antacids, acid reducers such as omeprazole, or even ordinary pepto bismol (bismuth subsalicylate) can offer temporary relief, but you should make an appointment with your doctor to check it.
