Potentally: What treatment was tried? Occasionally, there may be other factors associate with plantar fasciitis that can contribute to the heel/arch symptoms for example a nerve entrapment such as tarsal tunnel syndrome. If this is the case then medications such as Cymbalta or Lyrica (pregabalin) may help. Surgery for this problem is usually not necessary but may help those where all conservative care has failed.

Possibly: If you are a candidate for cymbalta, (duloxetine) then try it as it has helped some patients with plantar fascitis. However, you should also be asking your podiatrist about eswt or radio-frequency thermoneurolysis for unremmitting heel pain. Protect your feet in and out of house with supportive shoe gear. Crocs, birkenstocks for house shoes work well. Ice at night, stretch in am and no flimsy shoes!

Cymbalta (duloxetine)?: For plantar fascitis? What else is in your medicine cabinet? Pills are not the answer to everything. I do not recommend self treatment with medication. Indiscriminate usage of medication is dangerous.
