How to determine if i have torn a muscle by my elbow?

Elbow is a joint...: The elbow is a joint, so it doesn't really have muscles. It has tendons and ligaments, which hold the bones in position in the elbow (the tendons connect to muscles). A significantly torn muscle near the elbow can sometimes "ball up" like a lump of muscle.

I have had pain in my brachioradialis muscle for months and my bicep is getting weaker. The tendons just below the bicep towards the elbow joint are sore when doing a bicep curl. Could something be torn? I dont recall a sudden injury occurring.
