Elbow is a joint...: The elbow is a joint, so it doesn't really have muscles. It has tendons and ligaments, which hold the bones in position in the elbow (the tendons connect to muscles). A significantly torn muscle near the elbow can sometimes "ball up" like a lump of muscle.
