Time : A complete hysterectomy is a radical procedure, and with any surgeries it does require healing time. Some things to consider, no smoking, controlling blood glucose if you have diabetes, controlling bleeding risk, and/or reducing physical load to the area. Expect minor blood loss, and would need to monitor for any hormonal change e.g. Hot flashes.

Many changes: Seem answers depend on why she is getting a hysterectomy , and whether she is having an abdominal or vaginal hysterectomy, and whether she will have her ovaries removed as well (or if menopausal already or not)abdominal surgery is often more difficult to get over, as is losing the hormones provided by the ovaries. To heal, she needs sleep, early activity, good diet and love and support.Good luck!
