Possibly: Binge drinking overwhelms the body's processing systems. In effect you are poisoning your body -- witness the hangover you get after a night of binge drinking. In some this recovery can include anxiety and depersonalization -- especially if the person was upset to begin with. If using additional drugs, even worse.
