Anxiety attacks: There are acute anxiety attacks and there is acute anxiety disorder. The latter is a chronic long-standing health issue. Therapy is beneficial for both but long-term therapy is necessary to learn to control the disorder. Medications (benzodiazepines) have been helpful in treating these.
