Weakness of heart: When the left ventricle fails to pump normally dysfunction is present. The two common types include poor ejection of blood from a weak and enlarged heart or poor filling of the heart from a stiff muscle wall. Myocardial ischema is a common cause but there are many other causes including those secondary to valve dysfunction, hypertension, alcohol use, viral infection and miscellaneous causes.
